Kirsten Proctor is a supporting board member for ROC the Standardbred.
Kirsten first became involved with Standardbreds in 1998 at Saratoga Raceway. She left for a couple of years to explore the Thoroughbred racing and breeding industry, but missed the harness horses. Standies always had her heart. Their kind and tolerant nature, along with their work ethic, cannot be beat. As luck would have it, returning to harness racing led her to meeting her husband, who was also a trainer. They lived downstate for several years, racing at Chester, Poconos, Yonkers and The Meadowlands.
Kirsten currently focuses on her barefoot trimming and hoof rehabilitation business these days, but remains involved with the breed. And, of course, she still has one herself!
